Well, it is the end of an era! 'Lovely as a Tree' is retiring on June 3, 2019, after 18 years of circulation. When my cousin introduced me to Stampin' Up! back in 2001, this stamp set had just come out and it was a must have.
Oh goodness, I am trying to think what the technique craze was back then. Everyone was doing it. OH! I know…. the packaging tape technique. You cut a window out of your Whisper White front piece and cover the hole with clear packing tape. Then dump Dazzling Diamonds Glitter (yep…been around a long time too) over the tape and rub it in until tape no longer sticky. Through the glittery window you could see the single tree stamp. I am sure I still have that card somewhere, I will have to find it.
Any way, I had my club card class over the weekend and felt it appropriate to do one more class card using Lovely as a Tree. Simple and clean… I am going to miss this set.
Card base is Basic Black cut 5-1/2" by 8-1/2"
Lemon Lime Twist mat cut 5-3/8" by 4-1/8" (already sold out so substitute with Old Olive) (do any die cutting with this piece… like I did with the word Sympathy)
Whisper White card stock is cut 5-1/4" x 4"
Mask the Whisper White and use Stampin' Sponges to sponge on color: Old Olive, Crushed Curry and Balmy Blue
Words and die cut word are from the Bundle "Well Said Bundle". ORDER no later than June 3rd to get the bundle price discount. Don't forget that items carrying over into the new catalog but not as a bundle.
