Lisa Brown, Independent Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator

Hello ~ and welcome to my blog, Creative Card Closet.  My name is Lisa Brown and I am an Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.  I love sharing projects and ideas with you, so let's get started.

So the other day, I posted a project made with the Crafting With You stamps and dies.  You can see that post HERE.  Todays project was made with all the scraps I saved!  Read that post to find out why and how I had so many pieces.

I absolutely adore how this turned out!

  • Summer Splash card stock 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored at 4-1/4 to form card base
  • Basic White card stock cut 4 x 5-1/4
  • A second piece of Basic White 4 x 5-1/4.  I randomly adhered my left over strips of the 2024-2025 In Color DSP stack from my previous project.  I recommend using our Multipurpose Liquid glue to be able to slide the strips right up against each other.  This was so helpful.  When applying the strips, have them hang off the white card stock a bit and them trim off as you go.
  • Take above piece, and trim to 3-3/8 x 5-1/8.  This will give your edges a clean look
  • Emboss above piece with the Distress Tile 3D Embossing folder added some extra texture
  • Stamp, die cut and color the paint brushes, basket, scissors and easel and attached to card front

My Favorite of This Card?  THE SCISSORS!  I love using the DSP so my scissors have decorative handles!
