Lisa Brown, Independent Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator

Hello, and welcome to our team blog hop. I’m Lisa Brown and this month we are sharing a masculine card project with all of you. Masculine cards are always a popular theme because sometimes they are just hard to create so I hope you enjoy this month’s projects.

Boy I would love to be sitting in the chair right now! How about you?

My card features the Relaxing Waterside Bundle, which actually is a whole product suite. I’ll link everything below. I love how the cactus came out by die cutting in Crumb Cake and then the tips in Early Espresso and gluing the on. You Pick Tool or Tweezers come in handy for that step.

BACKGROUND: I used watercolor paper, water brushes and some ink on a block to create the blue background. Dab an acrylic stamp block onto Balmy Blue ink pad to pick up ink and then use your water brush to add some drops of water. Pick up some ink and add to the paper. Tip: I keep a paper towel in hand to pick up any excess water so it does not pool on my paper.

Here is a close up look. Also… notice the seagulls and how they shimmer. They are die cut from Sunset Shimmer Vellum 12″ x 12″ Specialty Paper.

Make sure you check out the entire product suite, Waterside Retreat.

Now be sure to buzzzzz on over to Karen Burke’s page to see what see has to share
