Lisa Brown, Independent Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator

Hello, and welcome to my blog. I am Lisa Brown, an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator here to share my projects and get your inspired!

Today is Part 3 of 3 of posting projects made with the Scenic Coast Suite. If you missed Part 2, you can view by clicking HERE. And that will have a link to Part 1.

A little bit of background on this card. I am so in love with the Scenic Coast 6″ x 6″ Specialty Designer Series Paper, and the fabulous dies of the lighthouse, sun burst and sail boat, that I have not even shown you any of what the stamp set can do. I have a tendency to do that when a bundle has excellent dies and paper. So…. here’s a card created using some of the stamps which can build really nice backgrounds.

I wanted to give you a complete picture of the stamp set and see all images it includes along with the words and phrases!

Some card details:

  • Calypso Coral card stock for card base and clouds
  • Basic White: 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ for mat and then 4″ x 5-1/4″ for stamping
  • Small scrap piece of Basic Black for birds, approx. 1″ x 2″
  • Scrap piece of Crumb Cake for seashells, approx. 2″ x 2″

Blending Brushes:

  • I started with Balmy Blue at top about 1″ down
  • Then went to Daffodil Delight about 2″ to 2-1/4″ down
  • Over top of Daffodil Delight i put blotches of Calypso Coral
  • After Daffodil Delight, I added a light coat of Balmy Blue. Went about 1-1/4″ down
  • Finally, the remaining bottom is Crumb Cake
  • I stamped the waves in Misty Moonlight Ink
  • After die cutting seashells from Crumb Cake CS, I took left over ink on my Calypso Coral Blending Brush and add some color to them so they did not look flat
  • The sun is stamped in Crushed Curry…. make sure to Mask Off the bottom
  • And finally, I die cut the fishing net with Basic Gray card stock.

This one uses a few colors but it is so worth it. I love how the background came out. Let me know what you think and if you have questions!
