There is just something about a sweet little mouse in a Santa hat that makes Christmas crafting even more fun! ❤️

For today’s card, I created a festive fun fold Christmas card featuring the A Little Christmas Suite Collection from Stampin’ Up! I wanted the adorable mouse to take center stage, so I paired him with a classic striped Designer Series Paper background and a bold scalloped frame.

From the front, you almost cannot tell this is a Z-Fold creative fold card.

A Fun Fold with a Festive Twist

One of my favorite things about this card is the layout. Instead of a traditional full card front, the lower panel extends across the front of the card and creates an extra layer for the focal image. From the angled view, you can really see how the different sections work together. It gives the card extra dimension while still keeping the design fairly simple to recreate. And of course, it gives me another excuse to use more Designer Series Paper—which is never a bad thing! 😉

  • Smokey Slate CS:

    • 2-1/4″ x 3″ for the mouse

Why I Love This Card
This design has several of my favorite card-making elements all in one project: a fun fold, pretty Designer Series Paper, lots of layers, dimension, and an absolutely adorable focal image.
I also love that the traditional red, white and gray color palette gives it a classic Christmas feel while the little mouse keeps it playful and whimsical.
This would be such a fun card to send to a friend, coworker, grandchild—or anyone who could use a little extra Christmas cheer in their mailbox!

✂️ Creative Card Closet Tip
When you’re working with a busier patterned paper like these stripes, try placing a solid-color layer behind your focal image. The red scalloped frame gives the eye a place to rest and keeps the stamped image from getting lost against the DSP. It’s a simple trick, but it can make a huge difference in a finished card.
