Create Stunning Cards with Scenic Coast Suite (Part 1 of 3)

Hello, and welcome to my blog. I’m Lisa Brown, an Independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrator who loves sharing ideas to inspire your creativity.

Today’s card features the Scenic Coast Suite Collection, and if you haven’t seen the Scenic Coast 6″ x 6″ Specialty Design Series Paper in person… oh my! This is some unique and fabulous paper.

I tried to catch the pearlized section of this piece… see it on the right side mainly under the two sequins embellishments? It is extremely hard to capture the essence of this DSP. Its truly captivating.

This is such a clean looking card to me and those birds are awesome. I love how each one is different. This was an inspired project from my Upline, Linda Bauwin so I want to give a shout out to her! You can click her name to visit her blog.

Card Details:

Basic Black: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ card base scored at 4-1/4″ and 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″ for mat piece. Oh and you’ll need scrap for lighthouse die and birds.
Basic White: 4″ x 5-1/4″ and 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″
DSP: 3″ x 3″ piece but into 1″ strips. Watch your patterns when cutting.
The smaller mat black is adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals

Couple of Tips:

When you die cut the lighthouse, you will need to snip out the excess cardstock but you’ll see, this is very easy.
