Z-Fold With Sunflowers Fields

Hello, and welcome to my blog. My name is Lisa Brown and I am an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator sharing what I loving and bring you inspiration.

There’s just something about sunflowers that makes people smile! 🌻 Their cheerful yellow petals and warm colors are perfect for sending a little sunshine to someone special.

Today I’m sharing a fun-fold card featuring beautiful floral Designer Series Paper call Sunflower Fields from the Sunflower Fields Suite Collection, and a sweet sentiment that says it all: “Wishing you so much HAPPINESS.”

When the card is closed, the layers come together to create a beautiful focal point on the front.

The card opens into three panels, giving you plenty of room for beautiful Designer Series Paper on the outside while still leaving a nice, clean space in the center for a handwritten message. I especially love how the floral paper continues across the different panels. It gives it such a personality.

Let’s take a closer look at that 3D Sunflower on the corner of the sentiment. That is die cut from the Radiant Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper included in the Sunflower Field Suite Collection. So are those gems and ribbon.

Card Details: (CS=cardstock; DSP=Designer Series Paper)

Mossy Meadow CS: 11″ x 5-1/2″ scored at 3″ and 6-3/4″
- on one end measure & mark at 3″ then cut diagonally from 3″ mark to the diagonal side (so if you mark the bottom left, cut from there to top right)
- scrap piece about 1-1/2″ x 1-1/2″ to die cut leaves
DSP – three pieces:
- small: 2-3/4″ x 3-1/2″
  - mark down 3/4″ from top left & cut from mark to top right
- medium: 3-1/2″ x 4-1/4″
  - mark down 3/4″ from Right & cut up from mark to top left
- large: 4″ x 5-1/4″
  - mark down 3/4″ from top left & cut from mark up to top right
Very Vanilla CS:
- 3-1/2″ x 4-1/4″
  - mark down 3/4″ from top left & cut from mark up to top right
- 2-3/4″ x 1-1/2″ piece for label
Golden Glow CS: 1″ x 1″ for flower center

The sentiment “Wishing You So Much Happiness” seemed like the perfect choice for this card. It would be wonderful for so many occasions:

🎉 Celebrating a new adventure
💌 Just because you want to make someone smile

Why I Love Fun-Fold Cards

One of my favorite things about making cards is finding simple ways to make them feel a little more special. Fun-fold cards are a great way to do that!

They give the recipient a little surprise when they open the card, and they are also fun to create. Plus, they give you additional surfaces for using your favorite Designer Series Paper.

And let’s be honest—who doesn’t love a card that makes someone say, “Oh, this is so cool!”? 😊
