Sunflower Vase

Hello, and welcome to my blog. My name is Lisa Brown and I am an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator here to share my creation and hopefully inspire you to get stamping and create too.

My project today is made with the 🌻Sunflower Fields Suite Collection.
There’s just something about sunflowers that makes me smile with their bright and cheerful color! 🌻 This suite collection makes creating with sunflowers even more fun.

For today’s card, I wanted to create something that could be used for a variety of occasions so you’ll notice that I don’t have a sentiment.

🌻 I started with Thick Basic White card base and added a layer of regular Basic White, embossed with the Rustic Check 3D Embossing folder. Then added a piece of the gorgeous Sunflower Fields Designer Series Paper. The golden-yellow floral pattern adds so much warmth to the card without overwhelming the focal point.

🌻A strip of Mossy Meadow & Very Vanilla Gingham Ribbon provides a beautiful contrast and brings in the green tones that coordinate so nicely with the sunflower.

🌻 For the focal point, I created a sunflower using Daffodil Delight CS and the Radiant Sunflowers dies. I then sponged on some Golden Glow ink. The combination of the golden sunflower, Mossy Meadow leaves and patterned vase gives this little floral arrangement a cheerful, almost three-dimensional look.

🌻The vase is die cut from Specialty Designer Series Paper that comes from a Christmas suite! The paper is called Neutral Noel Specialty DSP. The whole pack is gold, thick paper with some embossing.

🌻A few coordinating Radiant Gems finish the card with just the right amount of sparkle.
