Hot Foil on Designer Series Paper

Hello, and welcome to my blog, Creative Card Closet. My name is Lisa Brown and I love to share projects made with Stampin’ Up! items. Have you seen or tried our New Hot Foil System? Did you know you can hot foil other things beside plain card stock so I am here to show you one way that is really cool.

Using the Sunflower Fields Suite Collection, I created this card project highlighting not only the stamped image but also, the designer series paper. And to enhance the designer paper, I added gold foil dots with the Swiss Dots Hot Foil Die.

Like most projects with foil or embossing, you need the right angle to see the shine so see below. I gold foiled the designer paper and the floral image is gold heat embossing!

Card details:

Cajun Craze card base: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored at 4-1/4 on long side
Floral designer paper 4 x 3. Hot Foil with Swiss Dots Hot Foil Die
Check pattern designer paper 4 x 2-1/4
Approximately 15″ of ribbon
Very Vanilla card stock 3-1/2 x 3. Stamp floral image with VersaMark ink and heat emboss with gold powder. Colored flowers with Stampin’ Blends in Old Olive, Mossy Meadow, Daffodil Delight, Golden Glow, Lemon Lolly and Cajun Craze.
