Lisa Brown, Independent Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator

Do you love a simplistic card, clean and fresh looking? I think this design brings just that look. Hi, I’m Lisa Brown and welcome to my blog, Creative Card Closet. Today I am sharing this lovely design card that was actually requested by one of my regular card class attendees. She showed me a very similar design and asked if I could make it in our in-person monthly class.

Here is a close-up and side angle short of the floral image.

The card base is Thick Basic White card stock, 5-1/2″ X 8-1/2″ scored in half on the long side at 4-1/4″. It is then topped a piece of regular Basic White card stock 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Next, on a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White card stock, stamp your floral image. Also, with a Stamp Positioner Tool, lay a piece of Basic White card stock that is 1-3/4″ x 1-3/4″ and stamp the image again. Mine is from the Gallery Blooms stamp set. Color both pieces with Balmy Blue and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends markers.

  • Next, depending on where you stamped your image, score down the middle
  • Then score every 1/8″ on each side. I did a total of 10 score lines. This is where the Stampin’ Up! Trimmer is awesome with it’s detailed measurements
  • The number of score lines depends on the size of your image
  • I did not score past the ends of the image, I ended before

Add this layer to your card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then add the 1-3/4″ x 1-3/4″ layer on top, aligned, with Stampin’ Dimensionals as well. I embellished with a Linen thread bow, some iridescent pearls and a sentiment.

Hope you liked this project! I love the Galley Blooms stamp set which is part of Beautiful Gallery Suite Collection. But it is on a Last Chance List! See the full Collection below and click on any item to shop with me!
