Rolling Waves – Perfect Day – Creative Card Closet

With summer almost here, I thought this was a great time to post this card featuring the Rolling Waves Bundle. Hi, I’m Lisa Brown and welcome to my blog, Creative Card Closet. Besides, I am fresh from coming back from the beach myself so I am ready for some more great weather and beach action. This is a fun stamp and die bundle and I can’t wait to share other projects showing the cute beach umbrellas you can create. But for now, let’s take a look at this one:

I love the sparkle from the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush! Here’s a close up so you can see it.

I thought the one design from the Nature Walk Designer Series Paper perfectly captured the ocean and waves! So I had to use it. The piece measures 2-1/2″ x 5-3/8″ and is over top the card base of Night of Navy and a layer of Basic White that measures 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″.

The die cut waves are Basic White (2-1/4″ x 5-1/4″), Balmy Blue (1-1/4″ x 5-1/4), and Pecan Pie (1-1/4″ x 5-1/4″). You will need another piece of Pecan Pie about 1″ x 3-1/2″ to die cut the shells.

Other than that, everything is just layered and glue on top of each other. I did use a couple of Mini Dimensionals to pop up a couple of the shells and saved one shell for the inside of my card.

Like I mentioned, I just returned from the beach. I took my two nieces with me and we had a fabulous time! They had not been there since they were babies so they did not remember the beach or ocean. They had so much fun and we made so many memories. Aunties heart is full! 🙂
