Bendy Card with Silly Old Bear

Sometimes the sweetest cards are the ones that make you smile! 🐻💕

Today’s project features the adorable Silly Old Bear Suite Collection from Stampin’ Up! and a fun fold design with a little surprise inside.

I love how all the elements of this card came together. Hydrangea Hue is such a lovely blue color and the designer paper from the Silly Bear Suite coordinates so well, which is one of my favorite things about buying Stampin’ Up! suite collections.

Bendy Card? Let’s take a look at the curved vellum panel that adds beautiful dimension, while the little butterflies give the card an extra-special touch.

The sentiment says it all: “Sometimes, when you go looking for happiness, happiness finds you.”

I kept the backside simple with a few tiny stamped butterflies and an adorable little “HUNNY” jar in the bottom corner. Just enough detail to coordinate with the front while leaving plenty of room for a handwritten message!

Make sure to use Thick Basic White card stock (4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″) for card base
Adhere DSP to thick white (4″ x 5-1/4″)
Then score in half at 2-3/4″
Vellum is 5″ x 3-1/4″. Run through Hundred Acres Wood embossing folder
Score each end of vellum at 1/2″. Fold ends back.
Adhere vellum to card front by gluing the folded back ends only
Hydrangea Hue card stock (6″ x 1/4″) and score each end at 1/4″
Adhere Hydrangea Hue strip to card front by gluing the folded back ends only
Give the card a slight bend from your card base score line. Do not fold all the way in half so you don’t crease the vellum and Hydrangea Hue strip.
