My 3-D Shadow Box

Back at the beginning of December, a local craft store had shadowbox frames on sale but I just needed one. I was making a Christmas gift for my brother and sister-in-law. Well, they were selling a 2-pack for less than me just buying one. I never understand that kind of pricing but, my mind was already churning on what to do with the other frame… So I have had this idea in my head since then.

Inspire. Create. Share. is a part of the Stampin' Up! moto so I decided to make this for my studio. I love how it came out. The back is a piece of black 12 x 12 card stock laid on top of the frame backing. On top of the black, is one sheet from the Beautiful Detailed Laser-Cut Designer Series Paper. It is absolutely gorgeous. This paper is reversible too, white on one side and Petal Pink on the other. I opted for the Petal Pink.

Using the Large Letter Framelits, I die cut the words with Gold Glimmer Paper. The letters are on top of the glass adhered with glue dots.

The best part… I did not glue the black card stock nor the delicate Beautiful Detailed Laser-cut paper so I can exchange out and re-use the paper. I can also remove the words and come up with something totally new.

I found sticky letters (our large letter framelits were too big and didn't fit) and connected each of their names.

Aren't they cute? My little nieces are so adorable. The oldest one has discovered boys…. Oh man! And the little guy is cute as a button. Their house is very full and active!

I may have to see if I can get some more frames as I enjoyed making these projects and I can hang several.
