SAVI Sunday – 12:  Painting with Shimmer Paint.

I saw this video a while ago and thought, hmmmm, I can probably do something similar with our Shimmer Paints.  And even though it did not go totally according to plan, I still like the outcome.

I heat embossed the floral image from the Band Together stamp set with Gold Embossing powder on Basic Black card stock.  (full product details below).  Make sure to use your Embossing Buddy lightly on the black card stock and then stamp your image and words with Versamark.  Embossing powder will stick to the Versamark.  Use your Heat Tool to melt the powder.

I then painted on Frost White Shimmer Paint and colored over with re-inkers.

You can see how I did this in my SAVI Sunday video:

Although I did not show in my video, the full floral bloom center is where I used Pineapple Punch re-inker.  You can use any yellow re-inker for the center, or for the other colors too.  Use your imagination and change up the color scheme.

It sure was hard getting a good image of the shimmer and color at the same time.  You should see it in person!  WOW!
